oh - yes, we are agreeing. the best theory i've heard is for cloud cover being manipulated by differences in solar activity. more solar activity means a bigger magnetic field which means less cosmic radition hitting our atmosphere. cosmic radiation can trigger the creation of clouds, which traps heat and warms up the planet.
