you do realize that cars from that era downrated their power outputs for insurance purposes. They have dyno'd reproduction motors from that era from every brand and they all put out massive horsepower

I've been trying to find the episode where they dynoed all this shit
they did the 427 ford, the 401, the 426
I think it was "my classic car" but I'm not having any luck, the 427 ford put out six hundred something too. The 401 put out exactly 401.

Too bad the "myth" I'm trying to perpetuate is from 40 years ago, while the myth of the NSX's and skylines being downgraded comes from a group of fanboys who tell you their new disk brakes would give them ten horsepower
