I have these pictures posted on my Facebook, but I don't think many people here have access to view them. So, here they all are.





My blank slate.



The frame of the bar and some of the panels added.





Panels have been added and now need to be varnished.



Finished under-counter shelves.



Installed mini-fridge.



First filling of the mini-fridge.



Initial stocking of the bar.



After adding new bar equipment.







Testing of new under-counter "cool white" LED ropelights.




Black light added to beneath bar counter.



Replaced old water dispenser with a new one with a wine cooler beneath it.



Finally painted the ugly white walls with a sweet new charcoal color.




Lit booze shelf under construction. Front must still be painted color of wall, silicone to be added beneath shelf to get rid of visible light in the front, orange ropelights must be switched with "cool white" LED ropelights, rest of paper backing and glue must be removed from back shelf and then it needs to be "frosted".

Correct. You have to make sure all the layers are as even as possible.

Yeah, I'd get too stressed and angry if even one part was a bit darker, then when I tried to fix it I'd make it worse.

The entire floor is used as a dance floor at times. I have a discoball, but think it would look tacky in the basement, so it is in the computer room instead.

No. It was funny because you said a disco ball is tacky in a basement but not in a computer room. :P

It's a nice basement.

Oh, haha. The computer room is a sort of computer room/display room for random shit that doesn't look good anywhere else in the house.

Shank, I designed it myself. Afterwards, I looked online for bar plans and I didn't really like them. Best way to do it is to look at loads of other home bars, choose what you like about them, then find a way to include it in your own plans.


I suck ...

The one thing we don't have in our house is storage space. We are very, very short on that.



The tools aren't that hard to get. A simple skill saw is all that's needed to cut the wood, then a power drill and screws to attach it all together. A level to... errr...

oh i know the tools needed, dont forget i worked in a modular home factory :P
of course, i was a plumber, so i dont know all that much about the carpentry aspect of things.
also, i dont have a vehicle where i could just drive around and find materials and tools and stuff.
time to hit ...

And Adam, it impresses the guys more then the ladies. It seems like women only care about the alcohol to drink while men are impressed by the whole package.
